We invite you to join us for an English-speaking evening of cooking and tasting as we begin our long dark winter months
We will prepare together a hearty three course meal that we will then enjoy while we discuss our individual tips and ideas to beat these winter blues.The menu is as following and of course each participant will receive the recipes:- Winter Salad with sweet potato, apples and cheese in a honey and mustard light vinaigrette- Moroccan chicken tagine with vegetables and couscous- Traditional Scottish cranachan dessert with cream, fruit, oats and whisky- Coffee and tea served with French apricot and chocolate "bouchées" We will not be serving alcohol (apart from the small amount of whisky in the dessert) but you are welcome to bring your own.Participation is limited to ten and we shall meet at 4:30 to start cooking and sit down to eat around 6:30.ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS - 2 ODD BIRDS:Brenda:Brenda from Daisy Quilts For You is a Scottish artist and master quilter who has lived in the area since 2017 and runs her own quilting studio at her farm where she also regales her students with her wonderful homemade scones.Alex:Alex is a French/British photographer and artist who has lived in the area since 2021. She owns Mad Hatter Farm where she cares for over 60 apple, pear, cherry and plum trees and makes her own jams and juice. She also enjoys sewing and embroidery
