"The Greatest Boot Ever Made". (English version below photo).

Her kan du møde

Som han selv siger: "I am a shoe artist with an obsession: to create the perfect shoe. Obsession is always the path to excellence".

The Greatest Boot ever Made."

ENGLISH:

What happens when an artist decides to become the world's best shoemaker? Get the answer when Butik 39 holds its first Meet the Maker event in Støbesalen at Maltfabrikken. Here you can meet Victor Vulpe, the shoe artist whose shoes can best be described as wearable sculptures made of leather, with immense care and attention to the smallest details. And passion - lots of passion. As he puts it: "I am a shoe artist with an obsession: to create the perfect shoe. Obsession is always the path to excellence."

Victor Vulpe graduated from The West University's Faculty of Art and Design in Timisoara, Romania, in 2002 with a master's degree in Art Education. Simultaneously, as a visual artist, he began working with leather and teaching himself classical shoemaking from books on the craft. Since 2005, he has designed and custom-made shoes, first for himself and later also for customers. Since 2019, he has been a regular at the World Championship in Shoemaking, where in 2023 he was honored with the silver medal for "The Greatest Boot Ever Made."

Vulpe's education as a visual artist has had an enormous influence on his approach to the design process, while his shoes are thoroughly functional in terms of fit and durability. He emphasizes creating shoes that are interesting rather than decorative, and which can withstand being used for decades. In September, he will exhibit in the Romanian pavilion at World Expo 2025 in Osaka, conveying the message that a single pair of handmade shoes of high quality can last longer than 20 pairs of industrially produced ones.

In short: Anyone with an interest in art, design, and craftsmanship of exceptional quality has an experience in store when Victor Vulpe takes over Støbesalen with his completely unique shoes and equally exceptional passion.
